Ready to refer someone you know to Unity Mutual? It’s simple. Here’s how:
- Start by giving us a few basic details
- We’ll send you an email within three working days, including a unique code to share with your friend or family member
- Once they’ve taken out a new product with the Society, we’ll reward you both with £25 Love2Shop gift card– it really is as easy as that!

We’ll need your contact number and your member number (available on your original plan documents or your latest statement from us).

How will my friend give you the code?
When they are filling in their application there will a question asking ‘how did you hear about us?’ If they select ‘Recommendation’ from the drop down box and then asked ‘From whom’ they enter your unique code.

Absolutely anytime! If you’re a Member of Unity Mutual, you can also recommend that your friends consider becoming a Member too.
Of course! The more the merrier; there’s no limit to how many friends you can recommended.
In most cases, yes. Be aware that your friend can’t already be a Member of Unity Mutual, though. To receive the gift card, they’ll have to apply for one of our products. Each product is subject to its own terms and conditions.
We will send you and your friend a £25 gift card each and within just 90 days of your friend’s plan going live. This is providing all the terms and conditions have been met.
Depending on the product they’re applying for and how they prefer to apply, they can either fill out an application online, request a form to complete and return to us by post or call one of our team who can do this with them on the phone – simply visit https://www.unitymutual.co.uk/savings-for-you/ for more information.
No, your code will be valid for as long as the Unite a Friend initiatives is running.
Please be aware that it can take up to three working days for your code to be sent. Then, simply check your email spam folder. If the email isn’t there, you can either email us at sales@unitymutual.co.uk or give us a call on 0161 214 4628. We’ll then look into it for you.

Yes, the code is unique to you and you can use it to refer as many friends as you like.
Your member number will be listed on any communication that you receive from us – just check your latest statement or original plan documents.

Unfortunately, we’re unable to track if a gift card has been used; if you misplace or lose your gift card, we will not be able to reissue it.
There could be several reasons why your recommendation hasn’t gone through; it may not have met the terms and conditions of the offer, including:
- Your friend didn’t take out a product with us
- They were already a member of Unity Mutual
- They cancelled their plan in the first three months
- Your friend forgot to use your unique code on their application
- Your unique code was issued after your friend’s application was received.
- They did not meet the minimum contribution levels for the product taken out
